In occasione del Mobile World Congress 2023, in programma dal 27 febbraio al 2 marzo 2023, come da tradizione per questo evento annuale importante per il settore mobile a livello globale, sono stati assegnati gli annuali GLOMO Awards. Si tratta dei premi che hanno l’obiettivo di riconoscere l’hardware, il software e i servizi che guidano l’innovazione nel settore mobile in tutto il mondo, le novità che hanno avuto un impatto più rilevante sulla società secondo importanti esperti in materia del settore. Apple, TCL e Huawei sono tra le aziende che hanno ricevuto almeno un premio GLOMO Award 2023. In particolare, premi sono andati allo smartphone Apple iPhone 14 Pro, gli occhiali smart TCL NXTWEAR S e il servizio di emergenza SOS via satellite di Apple. Nelle shortlist delle varie categorie spazio anche per Huawei Watch D, Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Google Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone (1), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 e S22 Ultra.
Al MWC 2023, l’associazione Global System for Mobile Communications ha annunciato i vincitori della 27a edizione dei premi. Prima di arrivare all’annuncio dei vincitori, nel periodo compreso dal 19 settembre 2022 al 24 novembre 2022 sono state aperte le presentazioni delle domande di partecipazione, poi il 6 febbraio 2023 sono state svelate le shortlist delle categorie. GLOMO rispetta un processo di selezione molto rigoroso secondo cui i premi sono selezionati da una giuria composta da analisti, media ed esperti autorevoli a livello mondiale, e poi sottoposti a una valutazione equa e trasparente che determina il vincitore finale. Essere selezionati nella rosa dei candidati per un #GLOMOAward significa essere riconosciuti come un player serio, da tenere d’occhio nel settore tecnologico. E poi vincere un GLOMO Award, significa ottenere il massimo merito nell’intero settore digitale.

Questa categoria celebra i risultati ottenuti negli sviluppi hardware che stanno stimolando i progressi nel settore mobile. La categoria dei dispositivi ai GLOMO è un punto culminante del MWC Barcelona di GSMA e, in quanto tale, rappresenta l’apice dell’innovazione tecnologica focalizzata sul consumatore, dell’eccellenza del design, delle prestazioni eccezionali e della leadership di mercato.

Il premio Best Smartphone combina prestazioni eccezionali, innovazione e leadership, come determinato attraverso la valutazione degli smartphone sul mercato nel periodo da gennaio 2022 a dicembre 2022.

Da chip e processori a fotocamere, schermi e altre tecnologie innovative che migliorano l’esperienza dell’utente e migliorano le capacità dello smartphone, disponibili sul mercato nel periodo da gennaio 2022 a dicembre 2022.
